gnome mail-notification cannot connect

I installed mail-notification in my arch installation using pacman. The problem is that I cannot connect to neither my hotmail account or my ISP pop3 account. Can someone help me?

How did you  try to connect ? What's in your configuration ? Is there any related if log files or on the stdout/stderr from console ?

I try to connect with the mail-notification applet. Add->select mailbox type (hotmail for example), I enter my account information and then I get

unhandled Windows Live Hotmail mailbox (cannot execute child proccess "GetLive" (No such file or directory)

When I try to connect to my pop3 account I get

unhandled POP3 mailbox (authentication failed)

even though my account settings are correct.
Also when I select "system mailbox" I get

The location of your system mailbox could not be detected. Check the MAIL environment variable.
