I am not for sure if this a Xmobar problem or a Uzbl problem so I was not for sure if this should of been posted in Desktop Environments or Workstation User.
Anyway, I am running xmonad with xmobar and I just installed uzbl to try to learn it. Anyway, when I start typing on a webpage (for instance google.com), the text appears in xmobar instead of the field.
Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about, notice at the top of the left side where it says: "The is what I am talking about. WTF"
Also, here is my .xmobarcc if it matters
This problem does not happen on Chromium or Firefox. It seems this happens for any keystrokes when Uzbl is selected. I cannot even use ctrl-w to kill it, I get some weird symbol in the xmobar. I am reading this right now to see if I am missing something. http://www.uzbl.org/faq.php
Any ideals?
Thanks

I found this site: http://tuxtraining.com/2009/09/05/uzbl- … philosophy I am going to read it after work and see if I can figure out why this is happening (I am on lunch right now).
I did not have the configs copied.
Thanks

You need to press 'i' (insert mode) in uzbl to enter text into a text field.

Thanks everyone. I knew how to insert text since Uzbl is vim based.
Dieter@be: Thanks for the compliment
