vim colorschemes

Hi,

I tried to change my vim colorscheme. I checked the standard ones but I don't like them. So I started to google for some and I found some on this website: http://code.google.com/p/vimcolorschemetest/
I downloaded a few of them into the ~/.vim/colors/ dir (and I changed the value of colorscheme in my ~/.vimrc, of course) but all of them don't look like they do on the preview. So what's wrong?

I don't know about most, some of them are.  A couple recommendations if you want.  I like to use either wombat256, or lettuce both are pretty good.  molokai isn't bad either.

Also, you may need to setup your terminal for 256 colors

Re: vim colorschemes

You can always use phrakture's fantastical guicolorscheme:

http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=1809

It does a great job of converting gVim themes to vim themes in urxvt (rxvt-unicode-256color).
