Wicd stalls - 'Disconnecting current connections...'

Hi,

I'm having a problem with Wicd whereby it says 'Disconnecting current connections...' and hangs when I try to connect to my home wireless.  This started happening after I used the laptop elsewhere (where Wicd connected without issue).
Can anyone suggest what the possible cause of this may be? I'd assume from the fact that the machine has been restarted that there aren't remnant processes from the other connection, although since I use KDE and it restores my session, that is a possibility.

If anyone can suggest a diagnosis, I'd appreciate it.

Regards,

Re: Wicd stalls - 'Disconnecting current connections...'

I'm getting the same problem on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525) after I did a 'pacman -Syu' today. I've tried deleting and recreating the /etc/wicd/wireless-settings.conf file, and it seems to work again but only until I swap to another network.

Very frustrating indeed! mad

Just downgraded to wicd-1.6.0-2-i686 and the problem reappeared after a while longer. Tried removing the wicd package and the /etc/wicd directory completely before resinstalling, to no avail.
