oprea and file handlers in kde (using kdemod)

Hi,
I am using opera 10.10 and kdemod. How do I set up opera that it knows which application to open when I click on the erespective filetype link.

Say I clicked a pdf link. I tried pointing opera to okular in the preferences -> advanced -> downloads for pdf. But its not at all opening.
Similarly in the same section there is option for handlers for saved files. There for Folder I set dolphin. But that also is not respected. Has anyone successfully configured these settings for opera in kde.

Thanks
Jithin

The static version did not work for me but the qt4 devel version works fine.

You meant it can handle file handlers correctly.

Thanks

With regard to pdf files yes it's the only handler I have setup.
