solved: awesome-git tooltips problem

Whenever I hover (mouse over) a mouse on an object that has a tooltip (e.g. chromium home, back icons / pidgin buddies) I only get a blank tooltip box. Is there a way to make it work? If so, how? smile

I don't want to revert into using openbox just because of this annoyance. lol

Also, how can I have notifications in awesome? Like when someone logs in, in pidgin.

Thank you in advance!

You can create popup notifications using naughty: http://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/Naughty

Re: solved: awesome-git tooltips problem

I guess I solved it myself. It seems that thr culprit is the gtk theme "Elite" which has the same background and foreground tooltip color. I hope this thread will help someone someday. I just edited the tooltip colors in the gtkrc of the theme smile

case solved, will stay with awesome!
