followed the instructions here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … ht_install

only to get a:

root etc > chroot /opt/arch32
/bin/bash: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.6: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32

any ideas?

Re: chrooting into arch32

Well something went wrong somewhere... I'm guessing you have libreadline.so.6 on your 64 bit system installed as a 32bit.
First ensure that /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist points to 64 bit mirrors and then reinstall libreadline.

root ~ > file /lib/libreadline.so.6
/lib/libreadline.so.6: symbolic link to `libreadline.so.6.0'
root ~ > file /lib/libreadline.so.6.0
/lib/libreadline.so.6.0: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, not stripped
