Xterm*font documentation

Hello,

I'm looking for documentation regarding the Xterm*font line that can be used to configure xterm from ~/.Xdefaults.

I know I've seen an explanation of all the fields before but cannot for the life of me find it anywhere.

Any pointers would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Should be in man xterm, RESOURCES chapter.

Re: Xterm*font documentation

Thanks but the font section in man xterm - RESOURCES is not detailed enough (it was the first place I checked).

To be more specific, for a line like:

xterm*font:               -*-dina-medium-r-*-*-24-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

I am looking for a definition of each of the fields (seperated by a '-')

xfontsel

It explains all of the fields as you select them: is that what you are after?

jasonwryan: That isn't in my path and I can't find it in with pacman so I'm not sure

bernarcher: Yes that is exactly what I needed. Thanks,

If you don't have xfontsel, then you need the xorg-utils package.
