Proceed with installation? [Y/n] n

I remember once it asked something like this:
"gnome is a set of packages, do you want to install the whole thing? [Y/n]"
and I clicked "N" then proceeded to say "Y" to the packages I wanted to install and "N" to those I didn't want.

For example:
Do you want to install gnome-js-common-0.1.2-1 [Y/n]? Y
Do you want to install notification-daemon-0.4.0-4 [Y/n]? N
and so on...

I read most of the things written here:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GNOME
But could not find the answer...

Thanks.

I really don't know. It's not even assigned yet, but already has 35 votes.

I'm sure a patch would be welcome :-)

This is not an AUR package.  More votes does not mean that it will get fixed sooner. Fixing of bugs depends on what priority it is. If its not a showstopper, it will probably be a while until someone gets to it.

there was a discussion about this on the pacman-dev mailing list not too long ago...

"You can watch for your administrator to install the latest kernel with watch uname -r" - From the watch man page

yes - we will get to fixing it sometime...  none of the pacman devs are particularly motivated to do so.   If someone else gets to fixing it first, that would be awesome!
