Arch comes with one enabled by default. It uses UP TO 1/2 the physical memory by default but you can tweak it however you wish. My system has 8 GB of memory and I have a max size of 6 GB on the /dev/shm by virtue of my /etc/fstab entry
shm /dev/shm tmpfs nodev,nosuid,size=6G 0 0
