I could not get the manual partition install to do as I wanted
So ^C out and did the automatic install.
using an 80 gig sata drive
600M boot partition
Then
33Gig / partion
then
40Gig the rest
the result output at command df -h

Question what is ...What is shm ?
and Where are sda2 and sda3

/dev/disk/by-uuid/f34f54ddblaaa = /dev/sda2
did you create a swap partition as /dev/sda3...?
/dev/shm is a tmpfs that is 1/2 your memory size by default. It is a good thing in general. Google will tell you more.

output from fdisk -l shows 2600+ 82 linux swap / solaris
shows sda1
sda2
sda3
sda4
all is contiguous and all looks wonderful.

search /dev/shm I think is what I saw.
