Laptop doesn't turn off while hibernating

Hi everyone,

To get straight into it, i use tuxonice to hibernate (works best), but the problem i'm having is that it won't turn itself off after a hibernate (you get the little warped image thing). But, when i force it to turn off, then turn it back on, it's done it. What's going on?
