X11 cursor reverts back to default gnome cursor....

....when I start fusion-icon. The pointer stays the default GNOME theme but the link cursor, resize, text cursor, etc, are unchanged. I have no errors in the terminal while starting fusion-icon, but I will give more info if needed.
