rc.d fbsplash replaced by fbcondecor

Hello,
after my last yaourt upgrade, the /etc/rc.d/fbsplash daemon service has disappeared. There is still /sbin/fbsplashd.static but i can't find a way to launch it. If i use fbcondecor service, as i have not patched the 2.6.33-ARCH kernel it says: failed to open the fbcon_decor control device.

My problem is i just want to boot with the initramfs's bootsplash (ok) and with the services startup progress printed, and i don't want to have images on my consoles (and don't want either a patched kernel).

Is there something i did wrong or something i could do?

fbsplash 1.5.4.3-30
fbsplash-scripts 1.2-1
miscsplashutils 0.1.8-1
initscripts-extra-fbsplash

Re: rc.d fbsplash replaced by fbcondecor

HI, my friend,
I've been interested about bootsplash since I saw the openSUSE, but until now, I have no idea how to get start.
I have googled a lot, it seems the gensplash does not support the newer kernel, mine is 2.6.35.
Good luck and I'll follow this post closely.
