Removing Catalyst

Hello,

Currently I have got the Catalyst driver installed for my ATi Mobility Radeon HD5470 card, but it doesn't really work with all sorts of stuff. I don't remember having this issue when I had the xf86-video-ati driver installed, so I'd like to get back to that one.

How would I safely remove the Catalyst driver? Is it just case of removing with pacman, removing it from rc.conf, install xf86-video-ati and then run Xorg -configure again?

Thanks in advance.

(wiki and forum search returned zero hits, correct me if I'm wrong though)

Re: Removing Catalyst

Yes. Though, you'll probably need to reboot to unload the module.

Re: Removing Catalyst

Alright, then I'll go and do that and report back. Thanks!
