I'm on Arch64 using the following command to load a QEMU image,
qemu-kvm -boot c -m 2048 -hda /home/karam/win_xp.img -net nic,vlan=1 -net user,vlan=1 -localtime -k en-us -soundhw ac97 -vga std
I just switched from a 1280x800 screen to a laptop with a 1366x768 screen and the new resolution does not appear as an option for the screen resolution in my gues OS (XP64). Does anyone have any ideas?

Hrm... no ideas? I can't find anything conclusive on Google either...

Try posting on the QEMU form or what you could do.. is use a computer with a larger screen. backup your files. Destroy the image and just start from scratch. -shrugs-. Goodluck my friend.
Linux is the penguin we all need and love. Somtimes it can be hard keeping a penguin. But once we get through the hard. We're rewarded. The penguin always gives me a good challenge. And that's the way I like it. Winblows. Blows.

The trick is to use VMWare video drivers. Here I found the instructions:
http://qemu-forum.ipi.fi/viewtopic.php? … 873#p15888
After that just run qemu with "-vga vmware" option.
Perhaps someone could repost this to another thread at http://qemu-forum.ipi.fi/viewtopic.php? … 98&p=16346 ? It just won't accept my email address during registration.
