Compiz problems

Hello guys!

I have a really anoying problem with compiz.
By executing "sudo fusion-icon" everything works fine, but I want compiz to run on startup, so I followed the compiz guide. Now on startup it looks like "Window Decoration" is not activated, but it is. I tried to go back to the default gnome-session WM, but it won't work either. So now everytime I boot I have to manually run "sudo fusion-icon" to get my environment to look normal. I tried to set fusion-icon as a startup application but it doesn't work probably b/c it requires su permissions.

Can you think of a solution? Anything that would work - fix compiz problem or autorun fusion-icon as a su.

Thanks in advance!

PS: I've tried everything listed in the compiz guide but it doesnt work.

Re: Compiz problems

Check your user permissions...if your user is in the video group or something...the only thing that comes to my mind...
Try enabling compiz at start up using "the other way", without the fusion-icon.

Good luck!

Re: Compiz problems

It's the other way that screwed up my WM and I was in the video group. I'm saying I was, because I made a clean i686 install and now everything  works like a charm.
Thanks for the help anyway!
