Mouse Issues

Hi, I have the Acer1410 and I installed Arch for amd64 a few months ago, and my friend who has the same netbook experienced mouse lag. After telling me about it I told him I had no issues, and maybe he installed something that caused some conflicts. Now I am having the same issue. We have different packages installed, and even after reinstalling x86-input-mouse driver, it does not help.

My mouse lag is so horrendous that sometimes my mouse does not even move, other times it is so unresponsive it's not even funny.

On Ubuntu and Windows my mousepad works perfectly (I triple boot).

Re: Mouse Issues

Check this thread out: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=107583&p=1

Apparently a kernel update broke touchpads on Acer. There is a workaround listed that may work until a fix trickles down [search for psmouse therein].

Re: Mouse Issues

I was going to say that if you have mouse issues perhaps you should try Ratpoison.

Sorry I just couldn't resist that smile
