I just upgraded from HD5770 to GTX480 and have just uninstalled my ati drivers i also noticed my xorg.conf is gone but i still have xorg.conf.original-0.I'm not sure what to do with the file should i remove it?am i supposed to create a new xorg.conf? Thx

All you need to do is run nvidia-xconfig as root if you install nvidia. This will create an /etc/X11/xorg.conf for you.

No need. Just rm the old config and it should work just fine.
