A LOT of kworker... should I be worried?

I use conky to show my system specs and it lists the top 10 processes. After upgrading to the latest kernel I am seeing a LOT of kworker processes appear.

I have read that they are ACPI sys interrupts but I have no idea why there are so many of them, ie 14+ at a time.

Is this a bug or is it perfectly normal and just me being paranoid?

No, it's not perfectly normal. This can make CPU stay hot https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=109371. kworker has many wakeups since last kernel update. So I just stay on kernel26 2.6.35.8-1 version sad.

Re: A LOT of kworker... should I be worried?

I have pretty good cooling (soon to be water) so I'm not too worried about overheating and the usage is not too high.

The cores are generally below 13% so I guess it's not too excessive for me.

Will this be fixed in the next kernel update (2.6.37) do you think?

I'm not too worried by it, at least not as worried about the memory leak my server is having XD.
