Finding the right graphics card driver

I've got an intel graphics card 82855/855GM

It doesn't appear in the list of graphics cards suggested in the beginners guide.

After doing a web search some people seem to think that it works with the driver intel-legacy but I don't know which repository this is kept in. Can anyone suggest any pointers where I could find this driver.

Failing that I'll probably try to continue with vesa

A google search shows this old post and it may be relevant or not:  https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=84095

Install xf86-video-intel. If it works, then I suggest that you edit the wiki.

+1

It should work now, but it was broken for a long time and -legacy + xorg 1.6 is still a valid combo.
Old packages can be found in http://arm.konnichi.com/search/ although some very old ones have been removed.
