Yes another automount thread, cd doesn't automount

Sorry, i know this topic is been already discussed a bunch of times but i read everywhere and still i can't figure out how to fix it!
Here is the situation:

I can't automount cd/dvd. I tried udiskie with udev, it works great for mounting usbsticks but nothing happens with cd/dvd.
Since i use vmplayer that use hal i tried with it, i always used hal to automount but i switched recently to arch x64.
Same happen with hal it mount usbsticks (but with error, i think is policykit trouble) but doesn't mount cd/dvd.
So i tried autofs but it doesn't mount nothing at all!!!

Before u ask, i followed all the wikis and in my fstab i have cd and dvd line commented with #.

Any ideas????

Thank you in advice!!!!!

my bad ! in that case confirm the CDs are not corrupted. Other than that, I am sorry I cannot be much help as I too don't use CDs that often and haven't bothered to check if it works on my machine or not. sad

Re: Yes another automount thread, cd doesn't automount

try

$ mount /dev/sr0

if you get

mount: mount point /media/cd/ does not exists

then mkdir /media/cd and everything should work fine (at least it does for me).

It seems to be some stupid mount bug.
