I have recently quit using GDM to boot into my Desktop Environment...I've been using xinitrc to boot into GNOME, but since then, I can not mount my USB drives.
All I get is this error...
Me and my cousin have done some looking around, but we figure out how to fix it.
This is my .xinitrc
[13:17][burchettm@NOVA][~]$ cat .xinitrc
#export DE=gnome
exec ck-launch-session gnome-session
export XAUTHORITY=/home/burchettm/.Xauthority
[13:17][burchettm@NOVA][~]$
Any suggestions?

Can you mount as root? If so, try pmount for your regular user.
