[SOLVED] USB-HD using uhci instead of ehci?

Dear all,

Main problem : Mounted external drive only copies file from USB to internal IDE drive at USB 1.0 speeds.
I made sure the mount was done with async option (should affect write speeds only..).
I did read last hours in wiki, this bbs and google, but found some interesting things but nothing giving me a solution.

In total I have 4 on board USB ports, 2 connected right under the PS/2 connection for mouse and keyboard and 2 connected via a USB header (extension card, cable to some pins on mobo)

When no USB devices connected I do lsusb :

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

When I enter the external HD I do below
dmesg

usb 4-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3
usb 4-1: not running at top speed; connect to a high speed hub
scsi4 : usb-storage 4-1:1.0
scsi 4:0:0:0: Direct-Access Samsung STORY Station PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 CCS
sd 4:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg4 type 0
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] 1953525168 512-byte logical blocks: (1.00 TB/931 GiB)
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] Write Protect is off
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] Mode Sense: 28 00 00 00
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through
 sdc: sdc1
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] Attached SCSI disk

Why is it using uhci instead of ehci or what am I doing wrong?

Best regards and thanks in advance

Re: [SOLVED] USB-HD using uhci instead of ehci?

I will modify the topic as solved and I really feel a noob now..
Trying to connect it to the USB1 ports where as the first lsusb should have hinted me enough that there were usb2.0 ports available..

Luckily I am in the newbie corner ;-)
