By default, when you copy one directory onto another with the same name and different contents, XFE just deletes the first directory and replaces it with a copy of the second. It looks like the only way to merge the contents is to copy and paste the files contained. Is there a way to change this, or am I stuck?
Edit: Well it turns out that pcmanfm2 is actually able to handle static mount points, so XFE has also been replaced. Huge kudos to PCMan for adding this functionality!
Edit again: Unfortunately pcmanfm2 is *buggy*, so I'll wait on a solution for XFE...

Okay, FWIW this issue is not present in XFE 1.32.1 on Debian, that version merges directories automatically... so I'm guessing it may be a regression in 1.32.2.

And apparently I was having a series of slow days; the answer is to click "Yes to all" when queried about overwriting, instead of just "Yes". I should have realized that "Yes to all" implied recursion.
