Im trying to have a dual boot system including in the grub list an entrance for kernel26-lts but keeping in the same time the standard arch linux kernel.
The problem comes with the modules and the KMS
I am trying this in a laptop with an ati card, and with the standard kernel, KMS does all the job, but kernel26-lts seems to not support kms, and the X server fails to initialize..... how can i solve this situation?
Another issue is that when i load kernel26-lts, some modules fail to load (are not found)... do i have to recompile them for this kernel in order to have them working in both kernels?
Help me out a bit here: Im kind of new in this thing of multiple kernel usage...
Thanks!

About your questions on modules, they do need to be compiled again for each kernel.

knock-once 1.2: BASH script to easily create/send one-time sequences for knockd (forum/AUR)

LTS uses 2.6.29 -- does this support KMS (asking not telling)?
EDIT: Ah, it's 2.6.32.29 -- my bad

CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck • AUR packages • Zsh and other configs

kernel26-lts is 2.6.32, and does support KMS.
It's unlikely that anyone will be able to identify the problem without more information, though.

After 3+ years of being registered here I'm sure you can come up with a more comprehensive post to lay out your problem .

In some earlier kernel versions, Radeon KMS was disabled by default - try enabling it.
