I can't seem to get the flash plugin to install. Is there a problem with it at the moment or am I doing something wrong? I can download other packages just not flashplugin.
I am very confused.

Screenshot deleted for being ridiculously large - please read the image posting guidelines (and all the rest) here.
When you've done that, read the flash wiki page here.
Obviously you're new here, so welcome. You are required to search the wiki and forum before posting, as it is very likely that your question has already been answered.

Sorry about the screenshot being too large. I did read that wiki and a few other pages before posting.
I am on a 64bit system but I am not sure what this has to do with the pacman not finding the file in the repository. It isn't an issue of it not working it is an issue of it not downloading.

you going after the "flashplugin" package?
check /etc/pacman.conf, see that multilib is uncommented and maybe uncomment more mirrors in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
also, http://www.archlinux.org/packages/multi … ashplugin/ <-- you can download from your browser with the "download from mirror", and install with pacman (if issue is with downloading?).
Install a 'local' package that is not from a repository:
# pacman -U /path/to/package/package_name-version.pkg.tar.xz

jtkiv - Yes I am after the flashplugin package that you linked me to. I did have multilib commented out which i changed now and rebooted. I have all the mirrors under the "any" section and the "united states" section uncommented, still no dice. I donwloaded the package from the link you gave me and it seemed like it was going to work but after it checked for dependancies it told me it couldn't find lib32-libxt. I tried downloading that from pacman but I get the same package can't be found type message.

I forgot to update pacman after I enabled multilib. It seems to be working now or at least downloading. Thank you very much for all your help.
