Programs don't start anymore

Hi,

some Programs (Netbeans and GParted) don't start anymore with my normal user account. I can access them as root (sudo) though.

Can anyone help me ? smile

Greetings

Re: Programs don't start anymore

are there any errors?. Start them from the command line and see if you get errors. Post them here.

Re: Programs don't start anymore

Can you give us more details? Did they start normally yesterday and today they don't? When was the last time they worked correctly?
Check the logs for any interesting errors / warnings.

You need to be root to run gparted. The error message I get as regular user is

Inhibit all polling failed: Only uid 0 is authorized to inhibit the daemon
