Wasn't sure where else to put this.
I'm a bit confused as to why I've been banned from the #archlinux channel on IRC. Especially considering:
1) I've never had any confrontatins with anyone
2) I've never been kicked out
3) I've only been in the room like 3 times, those few times i was there i was helping people.
Who would I contact to find out what got me banned and how I'd go about being reinstated?

You were joining and quitting consistantly a couple of times a minute, consistantly. I am going to guess that is why.
br0tat0chip in #archlinux and on freenode

Huh? I assure you it wasn't deliberately. Usually I just log on and leave it be, much like I do with my other messengers. Then again, my laptop has been going through some weird issues lately (random disconnects, etc). Maybe when I stepped away my connection was being dropped and the client i was using was utilizing an autoconnect feature.
Oh well...

I'm sure everything is logged and if it's a mistake it'll get sorted out soon.

I just thought of something. I think centerim might have had something to do with it. I remember random connects/disconnects while I was trying to go on irc using it. I just shrugged it off as the client showing erroneous status info.
And here I thought it was something to do with my hp dv9500 laptop or iwlwifi drivers.
I liked centreim, but it seemed a bit buggy for me. Perhaps I should have looked deeper into configuring it. Might have simply been an error on my part.

I recommend irssi -- it's dead simple and has themes. WeeChat is also popular. Xchat if you want a GUI.

Yeah, I usually run weechat w/ bitlebee, but I wanted to try out centreim because I liked the interface better than bitlebee. Lesson learned.

You are not on the +b list atm (as far as I can see). Also, Here is a list of channel op's for #archlinux. Poking one of us on irc (memoserv can be handy for that, if for some reason none of us are present at the keyboard) or sending us an email is usually the most efficient way to get an issue solved.
Edit: /me notices post date *dho!*

*Three years later another guy jumps in...
I am banned as well, I can't recall I've written anything in #archlinux. Although I do recall I've had issues with connections and might have made unnecessary logins...
I can see people talking but I cannot write anything myself, just get "Cannot send to channel" messeges. Do these kind of bans have a time limit? Is my IP always banned?
