Devede sound

Hey guys

Just done a fresh install of arch with Gnome. I Was using Antix 8.5 base before this. Now with antix devede would convert my avi to dvd format but the sound would be all garbled, video was fine.

Tried the same thing on Arch and again video is perfect but sound is all garbled. Does anyone else have this problem? I am not using testing or nothing like that. Its a fresh install with devede and other video tools.

Just wanted to add testing was not all done on same avi file. Not sure if any logs are needed? if so where to find them.

Many thanks for any advice.

Re: Devede sound

I found the only way around this is to convert the audio first to AC3. I used avidemux for the audio, only takes a minute or two. Then select the box on devede that says do not touch audio as already ac3.

Then it just converts the avi and sound is fine.

BUMP

No-one know away around the sound bug? Even has the sound bug when adding an mp3 to main menu for it to convert. Annoying have to convert audio to ac3 with another app first.

Cheers

Re: Devede sound

I think you might find the answers here -
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=112219
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/22654?s … ect=5&type
so it would seem you have to convert, downgrade or find an alternative to devede for now.
