"X -config /root/xorg.conf.new" don't do anything

Hi Everyone

This is the first time that I'm installing arch, I've been following the beginner's guide in spanish https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … de_entrada and when I run the

X -config /root/xorg.conf.new

command, the screen changes, but nothing is rendered.

I've installed the xf86-video-intel driver, because doing lspci I got this:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)

And when I switch to the tty1 with Ctrl+Alt+1
appart form the initial standard messages of the command X -config ...
I get this:

(==) Log file: "var/log/Xor.0.log", Time: ...
(++) Using config file: "/root/Xorg.config.new"
(==) Usign config directory: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d"

and nothing more, the command keeps on that, but anything it displayed on the X view

What can I do?

You ran pure X, so you got pure X. smile Everything seems to be working fine, you set up the thing correctly. Now you should think about installing some window manager to use the bare bones. smile

I've solve this, the thing is that the beginner's guide in spanish didn't have some commands, maybe by myself I'll add this commands that appeared on the english version
