Hi all,
I'm having some trouble trying to get the web interface of transmission to start on boot. I've got the daemon in my rc.conf and is starting up, however the only way I can get the web interface to work is to fire up the application on the machine. Is there a way to have it start automatically?
Cheers

Hi Cyrusm, Its not really very useful as its a headless machine and nobody really logs onto it.

Have you added your config options to /etc/conf.d/transmissiond ?

My /etc/conf.d/transmissiond consists of:
TRANSMISSION_HOME=/media/files/homes/trans
TRANS_USER="root"
TRANS_ARGS="-g $TRANSMISSION_HOME/.config/transmission-daemon"

one thing to note is that it sets up a "transmission" user, which is more secure than running the application on your server as root.
