Modifying path for doc for texdoc

Hi
I recently installed texlive for using latex. The default path where texdoc searches is /usr/share/texmf/doc/
How do I add new paths for texdoc to search for? Its not mentioned anywhere in the texdoc config file nor on the texlive website.
