Installing Qt apps and kdeinit4

Hi!
If I install Arch and some WM and then install several Qt apps, will it also download and install this kdeinit4 component? Last time installing Arch I installed full KDE so now I have kdeinit4 and it hangs up often. Will I get rid of it if install Arch again with some Qt apps and everything they need as dependencies but no more from KDE group?

kdelibs

[karol@black ~]$ pkgfile kdeinit4
extra/kdelibs

pkgfile is a nice tool that helps a lot in such searches

[karol@black ~]$ pkgfile pkgfile
community/pkgtools

Thanks karol. So how many of KDE apps need kdelibs? Dolphin needs "kdebase-runtime  kdebase-lib". Is kdebase-lib an old name of kdelibs?

You can check the dependencies online:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/kdelibs/
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/kdelibs3/ <- kdelibs3

kdebase-lib is a different package
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort … =&limit=50

I know nothing about KDE so I won't be of much help here.

Not all QT applications have KDE dependencies. Like karol said, you can check the dependencies online.
