Re: Bare gnome

Epiphany / Evolution are pretty dug in deep and cannot be cleanly removed due to providing other dependencies - as far as I am aware sad

I believe future versions are to be more flexible - ie using alternate calendar client other than evolution wink

Re: Bare gnome

well, with pacman -S gnome your are going to have a minimal gnome. epiphany is there because you need a browser to start reading wikis and such. you can always skip installing epiphany if you want

 sudo pacman -S gnome --ignore epiphany
:: epiphany is in IgnorePkg/IgnoreGroup. Install anyway? [Y/n] n
:: There are 25 members in group gnome:
:: Repository extra
   1) at-spi2-atk  2) at-spi2-core  3) gnome-applets  4) gnome-backgrounds  5) gnome-control-center  6) gnome-desktop  7) gnome-icon-theme  8) gnome-icon-theme-extras
   9) gnome-icon-theme-symbolic  10) gnome-keyring  11) gnome-media  12) gnome-panel  13) gnome-power-manager  14) gnome-screensaver  15) gnome-session
   16) gnome-settings-daemon  17) gnome-shell  18) gnome-terminal  19) gnome-themes-standard  20) gnome-user-docs  21) metacity  22) mutter  23) nautilus
   24) notification-daemon  25) yelp

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Cool, will that also ignore the epiphany bookmark manager or will i need another ignore flag for that?
