Downgrade KDE

I'm using KDE 4.7 but the bug in the task manager has been driving me round the bend for a few weeks now. I'd like to downgrade to KDE 4.6.5 until this is resolved. I installed the KDE meta packages and have not cleared /var/cache/pacman/pkg. Is there a single pacman command that will accomplish this without borking my system? Many thanks.

Re: Downgrade KDE

  1. Stick the ARM repo at the top of pacman.conf

  2. set up a local repo using your cache

  3. try installing just the task manager with pacman -U

Re: Downgrade KDE

Many thanks.

1. Presumably using the downgrade script from the AUR does the same thing?
1. Which package contains the taskmanager applet so I can try to downgrade just that (not immediately obvious)?
2. Is there one package I can pacman -U that will (via dependencies) take everything back to 4.6.5?

Re: Downgrade KDE

KDE 4.7.1 is scheduled for tomorrow (September 6th), so I suggest that you wait and see if bug has ben fixed before downgrading.
