Playing DVDs?

I put a dvd in and have mplayer installed>

sudo mplayer dvd://1 -dvd-device /dev/sr0
MPlayer SVN-r34007-4.6.1 (C) 2000-2011 MPlayer Team
163 audio & 363 video codecs
mplayer: could not connect to socket
mplayer: No such file or directory
Failed to open LIRC support. You will not be able to use your remote control.

Playing dvd://1.

SSorry, it's a cd, not a dvd. derrrp. I got it working.
