Unfortunately there's no additional symbols in those backtraces.
Circumstantially, since this is 3-4 minutes into the session, is there any behavioral pattern (it crashes in input handling) that you can make out as maybe being the trigger of those crashes?
(Window closes, you enter some UI mode, …)?

None it just crashes randomly, and also windows open and are slightly translucent and then are at the wrong scale. Also the gnome shell is very broken eg: the power menu is not accessible, the alt-tab switcher does not close after switching, overlays don't work. Basically: very broken

UPDATE: I swapped over to KDE Plasma and all my issues disappeared it seems that the weird behaviour is not a problem with my setup and Wayland but instead an issue with GNOME

Yes, this is a crash in the gnome compositor specifically and for sure - it's just not clear why (you're the only case of *that* particular issue w/ gnome 46 so far)
I didn't see any indication of it, but do you have a touchscreen/tablet?

No, also I would like to add that even though plasma works I would still very much prefer to use gnome

Have you tried to log in w/ a fresh user account to see whether this is maybe just some extension/shell config?

Yeah, so I actually wiped all gnome config from my home directory and that seemed to fix it, i'll mark the thread as solved if it remains fine after a few days
