I entered archlinux to see about the 0.8 and it hit me! It took me some seconds to figure it... and imagine that I was crawling the net to see the jokes of several sites (blizzard, google)!

Btw "1.0 Duke Forever canceled" is also a joke? Right?

Yes, please for pity's sake take the thing down! This was not funny to run across here on the 10th of April, do you want me to pee my pants? I've been using Arch for a couple of years now & love it so "news" of a name change shocked & saddened me, and to find out the "news" was a "joke"... Well I didn't find it very funny.

I got confused when I went to the website, I thought I had typed "archlinux.org" as URL but I saw the ark logo.

Then I remembered "ah yes it's 1 april!".

I wondered if the arklinux site would be using the archlinux logo instead, and wend to their site and - indeed - there was the archlinux logo

Would not be a bad idea to change the name. In german, ARCHLINUX sounds like ARSCHLINUX, what exactly means BUTT-LINUX. Maybe we german users should form a forum, and name it butthead ...

seriously, some distros (and other commercial) names sure are unfortunate in foreign contexts... like sidux: reminds me of SIDA (AIDS in french)

mplayer's source has a "libass" in it. I laughed hard when I saw "ass-bitmap.c"
