Still better solution (an old one, revisited; quite satisfactory, at last) smile :

For me it works with Win98 driver only; turned out to be the only catch roll . Otherwise it's a piece of cake: netcfg2 and WPA present no problem at all. Just ten minutes of work, if you know the ropes, that is smile .

P.S. I don't know if it's relevant, but the BIOS has been updated to 5.40, WinXP

Good news: the native support for RTL8187B in the kernel 2.6.27.4 works.
