Ok, there seems to be interests in Schwag for Europe. Give us more time for testing and discussing. I think there will be a shop soon.
Yeeeeeeeha! )

A shop in Europe would be cool, but what I would really love was to be able to pay trough paypal....

Hi there.
I think it would is an awesome idea to start an european shop.
If you ask me, I bet a lot of people would order something there but are "afraid" to buy it in the overseas shop, because of the shipping and stuff!
And I think I would get myself some of those nice Arch Stickers for my laptop
Cheers,
mfa

Sounds like a fantastic idea to me. I would definitely have a mug or shirt (most likely both)
I got the mug and a hoodie from Zazzle. BEST COFFEE EVER!!
I had to exchange the hoodie (American XXL= European XXXXXL) but it was no problem, although I would probably have got the correct size from a European supplier and saved a little postage.
If there was a local shop I would buy t-shirts, stickers, flags, furry car dice, kitchen apron, plate, dish, beer glass, sunglasses, backpack, vinyl window stickers, drinks coasters, playing cards, napkins.....
Sorry but you just cannot have enough Arch schwag!

This is still "work in progress". ATM I am trying to create our own collection but there are still some technical and legal "problems". So please stay tuned. :-)

I'm curious -- was the shipping cost and time reasonable across the ocean?

Hi, they were presents from my Brother-in-law so I do not know exactly when first ordered but I think it was March (for April 22nd birthday) and arrived 23rd April). The hoodie was returned in late may and the replacement arrived approx 2.5 to 3 weeks later. It was definately not a long time considering the distances. The price was not very expensive, as my wife said "six quid for a large mug is nothing."
The cost is no more than any other mail order geek stuff. It may pay to ship for less from Europe and be able to give more back to Arch Developement but other than that I would still buy from USA, if nothing happens in Europe.
.... and kitchen roll, book mark, duvet cover, pillow case, tooth brush, jelly mould, pasta shapes, mouse mat, teddy bear wearing 'Arch Is Best' sweater, bottle opener, pen pencil and fountain pen set, directors chair, face cloth, car windshield screen, pda case, wallet, socks and bubblegum style tattoo transfers!

I also would love a similar shop. I would appreciate a range of polo-shirts... preferably dark blue with a small logo on the top left.

Interested if the shop will have the same items as the US one.

Okay, I should give some update on this topic otherwise you think I have forget it.
The shop is nearly finished. The only point which must be clarified is about earnings and taxes. I have to pay taxes on the incomes of the shop in Germany, give me some time to clarify this. The next point is that I want to discuss some other things together with Pierre at FrOSCon, maybe we find a solution.
That's all from my side at the moment...I will give some more regular updates on this in the future.

I'm not sure, if a European shop is needed with the current euro-dollar exchange rate. We'd get the shipping almost for free. Seriously, I like the idea. Looking forward to it.

Given what I learnt in taxation classes, you should be alright as long as the total profit of all your private sales within a (fiscal) year stays below 600 €. Not sure if you can double this by having two people run the shop, the authorities might not consider it private sales anymore. Maybe creating a non-profit association would work. Anyways, I offer my help with regards to legal and taxation issues.
