Haven't found a pretty set of icons and gtk2 theme yet though. :s

the modernist icons would go very well with that wallpaper - http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show. … tent=91893

you could probably modify one of the nova or drakfire gtk themes to match, as well.

For the update script, go see this thread

And here's the GMail script:

#!/bin/bash

gmail_login="XXXXX" #login, without @gmail.com
gmail_password="XXXXX" #password

dane="$(wget --secure-protocol=TLSv1 --timeout=3 -t 1 -q -O - \
https://${gmail_login}:${gmail_password}@mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom \
--no-check-certificate | grep 'fullcount' \
| sed -e 's/.*<fullcount>//;s/<\/fullcount>.*//' 2>/dev/null)"

if [ -z "$dane" ]; then
echo "??"
else
    case $dane in
    0 ) echo "0";;
    1 ) echo "1";;
    * ) echo "$dane";;

You have to replace the XXXXX by your username without the @gmail.com and your password.
