hello people , its been a while since i played UrT ( like 5 months or so ) ,
and i guess its time to have fun again
iam not sure if there is already an archlinux clan for UrT ( i searched the forums & the wiki and found nothing ! )

i believe some archers play UrT

I play as AimHigh , mostly in fallin angels servers. Hope to see some arch linux users there.Then may be we could form a clan.

the server could be private and doesnt have to be up all the time , i cant provide that though ;|

I play quite bit, usually ctf, using the nick akau. Wouldn't mind being part of a ctf clan, that be sweet.

P.S. Cool that Raedwulf is an archer seen him a couple times in the UT forum.

how about every arch user just adds a tag to their nick while playing on public servers?

Organizing a clan is a difficult task, not everyone wants to play that serious, while this tag would be a token of consolidation within all archers that play UrT.

the point is not to oragnize or that crap , but to be able to notify the clan for any ClanWar , again this will be for fun, no serious commitment to the clan

I don't really know what makes a clan, but clanwar sounds fun. I don't use IM/IRC so I am not easy to contact. I play CTF on Sexy's and Nitroservers as absvar.

so far no one would like to take care of the clan , no forum admins ,leader , organizer , a forum is just to be in touch freely with the members and other clan members
we dont need a real website , statics ( since there is no dedicated server to the clan )

i like to play occasionally, but i'm not very good at it.

also, a problem with big internation clans is (apart from different timezones) lag. when you're all in the same (or neighbouring) countries you can find servers that everyone has a good connection on. But not when everyone is spread around the globe.

I think you guys make it more complicated than needed. Find a common tag (e.g. [arch] as prefix) and use the you also use here in the forums.

Then you just need to join on one server; maybe an irc-channel can be used to organize this.

BTW: Shouldn't it be possible to run the server on dialup?

ya , this should be simple , just a forums , or even on irc and a tag , thats all !

i dunno about a server running on dial up !

what dial up speed are you talking about anyway

This could be fun, I've not played for urt for some weeks but usually TDM on a server called something beginning with AO2, keep an eye out for sanotheu.
So, what tag? [ arch ] [ A ] [ /,\\ ] [ AL ] ...?
