PPS guys do you think this size thumnail is too big? I think it is useful to have bigger thumnails, many are too small and the result is that you 'must' click to see more. With this size you get a clearer view and don't have to zoom unless you want.

Yes. For some reason, there has been a steady increase in the size of "thumbnails" over the last couple of months - it means that, for those of us without access to fast connections, browsing these pages is considerably slower.

I think the model should be that you only click through to see the details of those shots that interest you; that is consistent with Arch's minimalist principles.

Sorry about this but assuming you are using Bespin, I'm gonna go ahead and ask: How? How do you get Bespin to look like that?

I'm asking mainly about the blurred transparency.

bespin svn has a setting for window transperacy, the blur is from compiz. I couldn't get compiz to work very well with kde (couldn't click the icons in the systemtray for example), so I'll wait for KDE 4.5 which will have proper argb and blur support smile

Re: April 2010 screenshots

tNDNxeQ

My first screenshot here, after changing from KDE4 over Xmonad to I3. I tried to use Arch Linux related colors, also the yellow scrollbar of urxvt and the orange cursor in the terminal because I liked that kind of color combination in the ArchCon button on the main page.
No transparency since I didn't like it how urxvt handled it, oh and ncmpcpp is open since I didn't want to just show an empty console. Still trying to figure out how to get ncmpcpp to start in urxvt on a certain workspace via a hotkey...
