Hi,
I want this console font in my arch.
The console font is default font in gobolinux(version 012).
PS: done
i copied the font in the dir.
CONSOLEFONT=/usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/lode-lat1u-16
I removed my sig, cause i select the flag, the flag often the target of enemy.

What is the default font for the console and where can i find and change it?
* The default font is lode-lat1u-16.psf.gz and was drawn by Hisham Muhammad specifically for GoboLinux. It is located at /Files/Fonts/Console.

It's not an X font. It's a console font. I have no idea if X can support those, but I'd say no.
For example, the terminus font installs fonts in *both* the consolefont dir and X's font dirs. If X could read console fonts, there would be no need for the additional X fonts.

I never really thought about changing my console font. I love Terminus and want to switch it over...how do you know which file to pick out of all the <code>psf.gz</code>'s in <code>/usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/</code>?

i use CONSOLEFONT=ter-112n
Not sure what they all mean, but that size 12... the n is "normal" IIRC, as opposed to bold or something.

Use xmbdfed to convert the console font to a bdf font, then use bdftopcf to convert the bdf font to a pcf font. X should be happy with the pcf font.
Bdftopcf comes with xorg-font-utils and I uploaded xmbdfed to AUR.

To generalise this question... How does one preview consolefonts?
For now I extract them and view them with gbdfed (it's in AUR). It's a pain. Another approach is to adjust rc.conf every time, not exactly pleasant either.

For the current vt:
setfont foo
You can use the -C /dev/vc/X param for different vts too.
