Community repo for arch64

Is there a community repo somewhere for the amd64 arch? Or are there plans to create one?

It would be nice.

Re: Community repo for arch64

There is plans to create a 64bits build farm to help Dev/TU to create packages for Arch64: http://www.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch … 00296.html

Re: Community repo for arch64

Hi,

an arch64 specific community is not necessary, because makepkg is able / will be able to build architecture specific packages. This mean one pkgbuild for two architectures.

Hm. So why do we have separate current/extra trees for i686 and x86_64 on every mirror  roll

Sure we will have our own binaries. But we will use common PKGBUILDs and only one AUR.

Well thats true. We need different binaries, otherwise there is no need for  arch64 :-D

Re: Community repo for arch64

Hi,

You can access the ultimate temporary community64 repo - ;o) in:

[community64]
Server = http://archlinux-br.org/people/dsa/repo … mmunity64/

Thanks for the guys on http://archlinux-br.org that accept my request to host the packages there.

er... sorry if i havent been keeping up, but i've searched the forums, and the wiki, and the mailing lists, and found no updates regarding this.

But apparently that space is gone now? http://archlinux-br.org/people/dsa/repo … mmunity64/ leads to a 404, and of course, i'm unable to synchronize 'community64' with pacman now.... Has it moved? been replaced? shut down? Even http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Community64_Status has not mentioned anything.
