I'm a huge fan of e17 but right now I have a pretty sic fluxbox setup going on that I am quite enjoying. I will probably check out e17 again in the future when it gets a bit farther on in development, though it has been one of the most stable environments I have used in the past couple of months.

Openbox with the gnome panel since pypanel doesn't work on 64-bit Arch for the time being.

Gnome right now. I love E17, but Amarok tray support for it sucks. Understandable for the state that it's in though. Once there is a fix for it, I will probably switch over to it.

Another +1 for xfce-svn
also occasionally E-17
PLEASE read and try to FIX/FILE BUGS instead of assuming other have/will.

The e17 developers don't plan on supporting the systray specification. Check out this page for what rasterman thinks of systray icons and the specification.

I hope this will be sorted out though, I really like systray icons and it's really the only draw back of e17 that I think matters.

I've noticed that a lot of people here seem to like xfce. Can someone tell me why they like it some much? I've used it once before but didn't find it all that great, though that was quite a while ago, maybe it has gotten better since then.

Although, im looking into using XFCE, SVN and the Gnome Toolbar, when i have the time.
I like Openbox because it runs from nothing, giving the apps i want to use the full system power, it also handles dual head superbly.
