i have vbox running on vista, and arch as a guest.
it works fine and dandy, fast and everything.
now...how do i install the additions so i can get the mouse and shared folders working?
thanks.

Currently, if you make Virtualbox think you have slackware by touching the /etc/slackware-version file, the guest additions should install fine. The slackware rc.d scripts should work fine as well.

see aur/community; afaik there are read to use packages.

AFAIK the packages in community only seem to be for running arch as the host, rather than as the guest. the guest additions is only the ISO, rather than the modules i need to load.
i tried the /etc/slackware-version, but nothing gets put in rc.d or anything

I also tried the "touch /etc/slackware-version" - it didn't help for me. After installation there are no rc.d scripts.
