Install USB DVB-T support

Hi there, I have to say I am loving Arch linux very much.

The only thing that does not work is my DVB digital TV card, it's USB - An Artec T1

from lshwd:
002:002 USB Vendor Specific Class: Ultima Electronics Corp.|Artec T1 USB TVBOX (                                  cold) (unknown)

That's good, I can see it at least.  Maybe I should put the little bugger near a radiator if it's 'cold' roll

Anyhow, what steps do I have to take to install drivers - it's not detected by Kaffeine yet sad

If it helps, I've found out it's based on a DibCom
If this helps too to identify drivers, it's an lshw from my Ubuntu: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p= … stcount=17
e.g. "configuration: driver=dvb_usb_dibusb_mb"

Any help or suggestions gratefully received! smile

Re: Install USB DVB-T support

IT WORKS!

Made a folder /lib/firmware
Copied dvb-usb-dibusb-5.0.0.11.fw from http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/firmware/
and pasted into that folder

Did some modprobes, in terminal:
modprobe dvb_usb_dibusb_mb
modprobe dib3000mc

restarted

Don't know which bit of the above was important... but all is well in the world. Hope this may help someone.
Yay! big_smile
