[solved] First boot fails (kinit: Cannot open root device sda(8,2))

I did the whole arch install yadda yadda.  On the first boot, I am left with:

Code:

kinit: Cannot open root device sda2(8,2)
kinit: init not found!
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

I only have one hard drive and cdrom in the computer.  Why is it trying to use a 9th drive?  I only have one partition and a swap (sda1=swap, sda2=root).

What should I do?

use fallback image to boot and fix it with recalling:
mkinitcpio -p kernel26 after boot
